Giving Back

Employees of Ames Community Bank volunteer a lot of their free time to various organizations throughout their communities.

Ames Community Bank is committed to giving back to the community. We recognize the importance of donations and sponsorships, but also see the extreme impact of volunteering in different organizations. We are proud to support our employees in their volunteerism and encourage them to do their part to make our communities a better place to live and work.

In 2009:


  • 44 employees or 61% of our staff were involved in organizations throughout Boone and Story County
  • 93 organizations in Boone and Story County were represented by Ames Community Bank
  • Our employees have been involved in these organizations for a combined total of 624.5 years
  • Approximately 5,438 hours were donated to the various organizations by our dedicated employees over the past year
    • Ames Community Bank staff members volunteer their time and talents to the annual United Way Day of Caring event.
